Honestly, looking at their planned major changes (some of them potentially already implemented?), that version might be what I need to enjoy the game at its fullest.

Re: dropping Secret Rings
The vanilla game doesn't really vibe with me, however I will be keeping an eye on Project Reignition's development, as they seem to want to fix up vanilla's biggest gripes (controls, level progression, etc).

My philosophy is that fun is separate from quality, it's why I'm trying out even games that have terrible reputations (including Sonic 06 as soon as the recompilation is finished).
I've had more fun with Shadow 05 than Mania, despite Mania being higher quality, funnily. 😁

Anyway, Shadow 05 is a great game and I'd love some kind of PC port.

I'm also very tempted to try getting every single ending name someday, but probably not on stream because there is.................................326 of them.
Maybe I could do it as some kind of subathon activity lmao (he says as someone who would not survive even one day of a subathon).

The only parts I was a bit miffed about in this game were some of the ARK missions (those 10 scientists can perish) and the final boss (managing rings + the terrible aiming was tedious, so I ✨cheated✨).
But otherwise? Super fun. Will def replay with same rules (random missions with 1 veto per run).

Genuinely, I got into this game expecting an ambitious but mid game (because whenever the Sonic community collectively hates a game, I assume it's a severe overreaction), and instead had the most fun I've had in a while.

Like, I stream at only 3500kbs bitrate to ensure a stable-ish stream on my not-great wifi. That's disgusting quality for editing, especially on high-movement moments.
