As the Kickstarter opens on the 14th, we're posting this to give our listeners time to prep ideas & see what prizes we have to offer for reaching each goal!

If enough people work together, we'll unlock extra postcard designs which will be available to all physical backers.

Which I love because Dracula is like the LOTR of vampire media, in that it is such a cultural touchstone and has entrenched so much of our ideas surrounding what vampires are. So now I have the question of what has solidified vampire media in This world? What are Jonathan's touchstones?

The conceit of Dracula: 2004 is so funny to me because ostensibly — vampires should exist as fable in this world, but markedly Not the Story of Dracula so really there can be no "oh this is like Dracula" moment which is such a fun parallel world to live and experience a story in.

If you as a white queer person in audio drama are going to parade around shouting about how we should be inclusive and uplift the racialised poc in AD then I better see you putting your money where your mouth is when it comes to the shows you promote and the people you cast in your own shows.

I had a really solid plan for certain beats of Season 1 but I didn't plan for Isadora to have a whole wedding arc until I was writing it and then I was like, "Oh duh. What did you learn in your Shakespere class? Comedies end in weddings!" It was a great way to bring everything full circle and also give Sig a big exciting project to work on. It also meant I got to write the wedding special which is my favorite episode of the series!
