In the summer of 1967 Dan Breen was interviewed when he was in a nursing home in Co Wicklow and it was a fascinating record of events, people and places from his early life.

Margaret Gunning from Templemore was the last woman hanged in Co. Tipperary.
She was convicted of conspiracy to murder and was executed outside Clonmel Gaol on 1 June 1832.

Thanks to Boher National School, Co. Tipperary for loaning us records to digitise. School records can be a great way of tracking a family particularly in the record gap in the late 19th century.

The Heritage and Biodiversity conference 2025 is on Saturday, 6th September at the Horse & Jockey Hotel.
Hosted by Tipperary County Council's Biodiversity and Heritage departments, the event offers presentations on Ireland's natural and cultural heritage.
Entry is free, reservations are required.
Working on a collection of Healy family papers which cover some well known #Tipperary families, Nolan, Malcomson, Clibborn and Ffennell from Cahir and Clonmel. Including this gorgeous survey map c.1827 which is about 3 meters long and covers the River Suir from Clonmel to Carrick-on-Suir.
A massive thank you to everyone who made the Rossmore Community Heritage Day a roaring success! The stories, maps, and chats were pure magic.
