Mint Cinnamon Edition seems like the only Linux distro that's both professionally designed and actually made for human beings - and I like it a lot. I ditched Windows six months ago.

If you need to run Windows apps later (SAI 2 and Rebelle 7 for me,) I had much better luck with Lutris than Bottles.
