They're in a forest mid autumn, and the leaves fall elegantly, but, despite the radiance of the day, the man looks lost in thought, deep within himself, a silent moment of disassociation from the world around him. The second image portrays another him, the doctor and his cat, deep below the ground, where no light reaches the depths of the world of which they are as one. They merge with the roots of the very same tree the man stands under, the roots which, as if in imitation, become a tree of their own. The doctor reaches his grasp to a world that is not his anymore.

The major concept image for a Chapter 6 Dark World set in the shelter. The idea is a culmination of weirdness made for YOUR entertainment, to follow a new legend, darkness in it's strongest, most unapologetic and fantasious form. A labyrinth of maple trees obstructs any breathing room as they watch you, a city of circuit boards puzzles you at every corner, and at last, the cold, unforgiving Shard Cliffs, radiating shadows. As if in imitation, the land itself watches, tests, then faces you. Miscellaneous NPC designs, the idea is just about anything becomes a darkner in this world with way looser rules, a general silhouette can become something completely detached from what it's Light World counterpart really is, the mind is the limit, therefore, it's limitless. Some are pure darkness beings from the cliffs, not derived from any particular object, that reside in the darkest parts of the other areas of the shelter. A more detailed look at the cliffs, a mess of floating halls and stairways that lead to doors behind doors and rooms within rooms, with the contents inside deriving from odd but harmless interactions with it's abstract inhabitants, to terrifying encounters. The hand creature shown here is the Doorman, one of the many Everymen. every door needs a door-man. He points to the ways that may be of most interest to you. ROOTS is a darkness concentration plant, and where the shelter's fountain resides inside, manipulated, observed, and augmented by Him. Pure shadow erupts from it's mechanical chimneys, covering the entire land's above view with a glistening, starry eyed "sky". It is guarded by THE DOCTORS (seen in previous post) and immediately makes a connection with every new fountain, reaching it's metaphorical (and literal) hands through all of Hometown, always touching by underground wires.
