Listen, I usually like my game rulebooks to be pretty straightforward and not having a lot of fluff...... but I have to admit that I've always gotten a kick out of the 51st State rules.
Excerpt from 51st State rulebook that reads:

"1. Place the Victory Point (VP) track on the table in reach of all players. We say this in case there is some really dumb dude who can't figure it out for himself.

2. Then place all Resources, Workers, and other tokens near the VP track to form a general supply. Once again, we have to say this, just in case there is a guy who has never played a game before and might put them under the table or under the kitchen sink.
Things happen, ya know.
Jokes aside. Now focus."

Honestly, the whole plot felt very thin. A bit of The Hobbit Syndrome, where it seemed like they had about a movie's worth of potentially interesting story and they stretched that sucker out to 8 episodes.

It is wild that republicans are crying about democrats not taking them at their word that they'll negotiate in good faith if the dems just give them what they want first.... and then proceed to cancel or steal previously agreed upon spending for the third time in 9 months.

Unconstitutionally taking money that the law says must be spent on one purpose & using it for something else—when it's to establish personalist control over the FUCKING MILITARY—is about as dangerous a constitutional crisis/failure as you can imagine

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

In this day and age, that should NEVER be the first 12 words of any post you make!

A single nuclear warhead, of unknown origin, is heading toward the U.S. mainland in Kathryn Bigelow's new Netflix film. It's an unnerving scenario — but it's also thrilling to watch. n.pr/48przga
Every moment pops in the nuclear thriller 'A House of Dynamite'

As said admin, I've spent years debating the risks of going rogue and turning off the parental controls so I can have access to the good Effin' Birds and Swear Trek images, haha

I am excited for more E33, and terrifies that they think they'll late game needs MORE mean bosses, haha
tomlonde.bsky.social
Y'alls are the best! Though after Simon and Clea, I live in fear of what else you have in mind for the late game, haha!

Might be my most favorite game I've ever played!

That's surprising that she was a big announcement, but her presence do be little more than a one-off cameo. I do wonder how much desire there is to do a lot more Trek though....of all the cast members "fans" were being crappy, she was probably in the top couple for getting the worst of it.

I remember when country music had lines like, "You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything." Now we got, "I wasn't trying to say anything, I swear!"

Man, why is Paramount so inconsistent? They only wanted to give SNW a movie, but they were able to be talked up to 6 episodes. Meanwhile, Disco only wanted a movie and only got a 10 minute tack on at the end of the episode?

I can't believe you would repost such a heinous bloodbath!

A game explicitly designed to ensure that nobody is allowed to be better at it than El Musko.

Oh yeah, and if it's a big video, I'll sometimes click through just to get a feel for what we're working with, but I definitely feel like I'm backing with more confidence when I can see the game vs feeling like I'm gambling a little more when the page doesn't have anything to watch.

As someone not in the games industry, this is the first thing that popped into my head as a frequent backer. The written stuff on the campaign pages rarely give me a clear idea of what the game is, and I love seeing a bunch of game play videos available right away.

Dude is like a bad foot rash, I'm unfortunately not sure we're ever going to fully get rid of him.

You cheeky buggers. I was not ready to start my day with the jump scare of the dictionary potentially betraying us to AI, haha.

Oh thank goodness. I was wondering when we'd move on from simply tolerating war crimes to actively making it part of the explicit game plan.

Didn't the dems try the commitment gambit during the Biden years and promptly got screwed over? Are their memories really this short?

The incompetence would be hilarious if the consequences weren't so dire.

Oof, going straight to Ghost of Tsushima right after 130hrs of Jedi games was a rough choice. Games are too mechanically similar with too different of control schemes. Keeping getting my world rocked because I keep trying to block/parry... with the button that's now heavy attack, haha

And honestly, screenshotting & sharing idiot posts from anywhere should be frowned upon in general. Sure, you don't want to give them engagement. But if I blocked a person & you keep sharing their screenshots, the only option I have to really get away from them now is to also unfollow/block you too

And the final goodbye with Johnny in the new base game ending still guts me!

I was one of the lucky ones who had few issues with 2077 & loved it from day 1, but damn PL was something else! I still feel guilty 2yr later about the expansion ending where I thought I was making good choices, and things just kept getting worse and worse.
