The first two years a chickadee family nested in there. This year nothing though. I hope they return next year.

As I wrote on another reply, it’s just too clunky to shoot with. The shutter shakes the camera and is loud. The shutter button takes too much force. The film advance is rough. That and the meter on mine is toast.

Too clunky. The shutter button takes quite a push to activate the shutter, which often throws off my framing. The shutter itself is quite loud and shakes the camera. The film advance is stiff. I don’t use the meter because it is off by at least 2-1/2 EV. Nothing fatal, just enough to lessen the fun.

The lens was the 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor-S Auto.

The Olympus OM-2n on the other hand is definitely staying in the rotation. I love this camera. 28mm f/3.5. Double-X at ISO 250. FX-39II for 8 min at 20C. #BelieveInFilm

I put a roll through my Nikkormat FT2...the first of the year. I did not enjoy the shooting experience. I'm afraid it's coming out of the rotation. It was gifted to me by my Dad, so it stays, but I'm not going to shoot it anymore. HP5 at box. HC-110e for 8 min at 20C. #BelieveInFilm

Ah, wasn’t sure exactly. I think to qualify as a folder the lens has to fold so that is not visible, not only retract.

Ooh, Super Ikonta, the fancy stuff. 😉

I love Tri-X in 120. I shoot HP5 in 135.

I love the breadth of tones in this photograph, although I did find myself hunting around for a beached boat. ;-)

Same here. I've got 7 medium format folding cameras. Three that shoot 6x9, 2 that shoot 6x6, and 2 that shoot 6x4.5. Only one has a coupled rangefinder, the Mamiya 6 Automat.

It’s a fabulous camera. I love my Automat.

Yours looks in excellent condition. I also use a Rada back on mine. Try as I might I can’t get the front standard to stay put.
tomnorthfilm.bsky.social
Thanks! That‘s a new one on me.
tomnorthfilm.bsky.social
Hmm, I wonder which one was meant for studio use? 🤔
tomnorthfilm.bsky.social
Please do and join in on the fun.

Fabulous! Which model Ikonta?
tomnorthfilm.bsky.social
Ah, the beautiful Bergheil! Is yours a 6x9 shooter? Question for you, when you pull the front standard out does does it stay put on the rails? On mine the front standard easily slides backwards on the rails after locking the rails. I think something must be broken.

Those are a couple gorgeous cameras. I love my 517/16.
