That 1917 military form has been incredibly helpful with tidbits of information, with my male Connecticut ancestors. For example, my great-grandfather couldn’t operate a wireless, but could handle a team of horses.

Coincidentally, I hadn’t either, until I received my mom’s collection after she passed away. Now I’ve added to it!

Years ago, the family-owned business where I worked added a new director. When the president announced his name - Tony Perkins - I suggested we replace his office door w/ a shower curtain. None of the younger team members got the joke, but my boss and I yucked it up for a good long while. 🚿🤣
