Anonymous writes: we were ordered to evacuate due to the fires. I've been trying to do virtual appointments for two days despite having no power.
Here's the email I received today: calling out comes out of vacation time. If there is no vacation time accrued, it is unpaid time. Cannot be coded as sick time. Five days maximum. All this is documented in the attached document.
Schedulers will code time away due to wildfire as vacation and Comment that it is for wildfire/evacuation. HR will then recode as emergency personal leave (EPL).
