The answer is YES! You just have to be chill and respectful of 2SLGBTQIA+ people and other minority groups.

Northsky will have some planned downtime today at 6pm Pacific as we upgrade our infrastructure to test a higher volume of concurrent migrations with our alpha testers.

this is a large question which we will begin addressing with our community guidelines post, and continue addressing as we building out our moderation capabilities.

our efforts have been focused on the existential threat to the community posed by compliance with conservative governments first.

This seems to be working! Tested with a gmail-based account and a more independent service, and both got confirmation e-mails successfully.

And the link in confirmation e-mails REQUIRES a tracker to link it back to your signup, so if that button is broken for you, temp allow trackers to validate.

We've adjusted some of our DKIM and SPF records to hopefully ensure more reliable delivery of confirmation e-mails from our @kit.com signup website.

Unfortunately there is no way for us to re-send confirmation e-mails, but don't worry, we'll process even "unconfirmed" accounts in our queue!

we basically keep sourcing more as folks migrate successfully, so we'll keep you in mind when we need to pull some more in!

we also take accounts of various sizes at various times to test different parts of the pipeline. for instance migrating LARGE accounts was a tricky solve, but we did it!

Additionally, there are EuroSky and LatinSky projects in the works, who we hope to federate with just as we plan to with Blacksky as well.

They may be able to moderate content better in the meantime as we get our multi-lingual moderation support figured out. It takes a village!

not unless that person has generated a rotation key for their account before it was banned, and made a backup of their content.

our rotation tool can do both, but we still need to add an independent flow for the rotation key generation (coming soon). right now it's just part of the migration flow.

you'll want to backup your Repo again (get a new archived .car of your posts), and then export media should only fetch new blobs.
