Maybe my workout friends and I can summon energy from the bright light called the “seasonal affective disorder gang” this winter

Only bright lights and no tears

Mall, ymca, former gambling hall, rec center

I’m ready for indoor walkin and gossipin season

Honestly the most underestimated form of exercise in the freezing Midwest winter is forming a walking group around whatever indoor route that’s available

I need to get back to walking.
I usually worked out 2-3 times a week lifting and walking until the last 8 months. Just absolute breakdown of any semblance of good habits

I know it’s important, it’s the only thing that regulars me flipping between day and night shift

My descending colon is making it know it has thoughts and gurgles

That’s pretty interesting. I had no idea that was a method. Carrot seeds are notoriously finicky

That’s cool. Thank you for that info

I did not eat the tops 😅

I’ll look into that in the future. I was just happy I had carrots that didn’t bolt halfway into their expected maturation date.

I’m all for making salad greens. I’ll make that my goal for next year

Carrots and carrot greens!

I think if the sunroom is the proper direction for sun exposure and has adequate sun it would be worth it

I went for setting up a rack with a grow lamp in a mud room that had a door that opened so I could leave it open to the elements for easy hardening off for planting

This year I managed my first legit carrot harvest. Still don’t understand why they didn’t bolt. Working hypothesis is I think I must have thinned from growing from seed much better
triagenursemd.bsky.social
Oh my first year was a disaster. Forked, over crowded, a general disappointment

Second year, also disappointing. They bolted very early in the summer. Still don’t understand why

Next year I’ll experiment on trying to create better soil conditions for carrots

But I’m happy and looking forward to developing my newly developed garden plans

My soils may have not been loose enough for carrots in general for the typical thin looking carrots. Either way I’m going to chop and freeze them in an easily usable form

I really believe in tested and regulated ways to remediate home hazards funded and approved by the government. Probably doesn’t work that way but I think that’s truly what my tax dollars should go to. Safe ways for hazardous remediation and research on whether a home owner can safely do remediation.

Moldy drywall and built in bookshelves were the biggest culprit. Immediately bagged and tied off and removed. Kept the door closed and the vents/ intakes sealed in then room best I could

Remediated a couple other basement locations that had questionable water leaks.

Been a monumental improvement

I had a professionally company come in with industrial dryers and dehumidifiers for a week to dry it out before I did mold remediation I found a month later
triagenursemd.bsky.social
Mostly wearing protective PPE, removing drywall, often insulation and spraying studs with a mold killing solution which usually involves bleach and scrubbing it with a scrub brush and letting it dry out

There was a lot of professionally yelling on my part

I wake up at 3.30 am for no reason other than insomnia and I have more respect for anyone with that problem than JFK’s sleep deprivation
