Sooo, yeah. I like to keep busy. But i have had a shift in mindset. I only work on projects that exist only to benefit mysel now. After years of creating art for others, it's time to come home. As i allow myself to bounce around instead of focusing on clients and expectations, i feel more f r e e.

Finally, a bunch of art related junk on the table, you know what that means. The town of Cherish is finally getting an overhaul. I also made a tiny camping teepee for the residents, can you spot it?

Speaking of ongoing projects. A major breakthrough occurred this week with my 8 ft snake painting. A richness now begins to emerge... I feel inspired to work on it again because of that.

Ongoing project... This "sun dress" I'm working on. It was a thrift store find, David bridals dress with tags still on it. I have been swaying back towards fiber arts lately. The dress looks surprisingly elegant while worn, so that encourages me to continue.

It is a sleeveless cocktail dress pinned to a wall with a whimsygoth sun painted right on the chest.

Also finished - this chiffon rectangle skirt with about a million french seams. I think i get the concept- i didn't have to commit myself to this many seams, but here we are lmao. I don't have pics of me wearing it but it feels really luxurious and fancy.

A rectangle skirt that i made out of chiffon scraps that i got from the thrift store. It features a little ruffled hem and has galaxy print, brown snake skin, and a brown flower print on it. Somehow it works.

Round up of art projects from the last two weeks.

First up, finished these trendy #beaded plants. They all live their own independent lives now, floating around my house in various different places.

Today I am practicing to eventually make my own wedding dress. Category is French Seams today. Joining all this polyester chiffon together to hopefully make a cool gathered skirt out of it.

French seams take forever but they feel so luxurious. Worth the extra ironing.

Let's talk about synergies. I got this front and back zipper organizer from the #Joann's sale. Tiny #dollartree storage cubes fit inside the pockets perfectly, fitting everything from scrunchies and medicine.

Also this insulated bag from DT fits in my carrying tote bag perfectly.. I've got chills.

"The Pledge" is approx 6x6' and is a tapestry made with canvas and acrylic paints. It is one of the best pieces I have made to date and stays majestically billowing in my living room.
