I’m loving seeing this Zack. I had huge hope for what you could bring as leader, yet I’m still blown away by the momentum and the surge in support we’re already achieving as a party. Couldn’t see your broadcast as a Welshy but looking forward to when it comes online 💚

Voted for him and so glad he’s won! I’m excited to see where the Greens will go under his leadership. He’s great in media rounds, he’s concise and doesn’t hold back any punches. The Green party now has a real and relatable vision.

I see it as another step in a rather sinister long-term plan (by who? God knows) but it’s so forced. The fact that Labour now talk about “reforming” it is giving me a nauseating case of deja vu.

There must be a big market in depression atm, with the usual suspects benefitting off of it too. Depressed people are more susceptible to various forms of addiction, meaning smoking/drinking/gambling must be booming. Makes me wonder why there’s barely any effort from government to address it either.

The ugly truth about platforming nazis today is it makes a lot of money. Bad news, news that angers or causes a stir was the norm 10 years ago, now we’ve reached an absurd point in ‘rage-bait’ culture.

Those who engage out of anger help it spread like wildfire, and the rest gobble it up.

I’d call this a purpose of populism rather than achilles heel. Populist politicians know their policies aren’t targeted towards the demographics they aim to appeal to, but they still sell it as if it does (and they know the vast majority won’t read the small print.)

We need to stop asylum seeking at its source, by ending wars and tackling climate issues.

I worry sometimes that Labour are complicit though (whether deliberate or not I can’t tell) Otherwise they’d be doing a lot more to fix this increasingly fucked up place.

Media reform should top the list imo. I hate how sensationalised everything is, simply to push engagement to make money.
