Always—ALWAYS check worksheets you get off the internet 😅 I forgot and one of the grammar questions was a sentence about a man who found out his wife was having an affair. (WS was for phrasal verbs).

Thankfully I caught it before giving it to the kids and reprinted it and changed the sentence.

Whereas my great grandma was pretty stoic and generally healthy so she wasn’t cranky. She was lonely tho and had a lot of sadness from her life that bubbled up. But she was happy to see people so she wasn’t crabby when we came by.

I think that filters really vanish and you get a glimpse of what they kept at their core. My granny was miserable in her life choices and as she got older, she made it everyone else’s problem. My grandpa was in a lot of physical pain that got expressed as crankiness with the world.
