Should strangers trauma dump on people? Of course not, but it's "close" friends that simply can't be bothered to listen, show up when they said they would & be in inconvenienced, all while complaining about wanting a village. This is a self made problem exacerbated social media & capitalism.

If people stopped pathologizing being human & outsourcing being a supportive friend to therapists, maybe people wouldn't have to rely on talking to ai model when shit gets real. Ai being marketed as a friend wouldn't be a thing if people weren't so self absorbed & selfish as they are now. I said it.

Ironically people consume hours upon hours of people doing just that, they find it useful even.But the moment someone close to them says something honest without the fake nice tone & disclaimers, they silently judge them for it.Is it cowardice?

That label just depends on who wants to hold onto power.

The group's intentions should speak for the group's identity.

Ah..the critical analysis of what empathy is & what positive/negative role it can play in society is so important. But I feel like the conversation is almost rendered imossible with narratives that just advocate for a lack of conscious compassion & sensible policies under the label of "empathy bad"
