How do you supervise kids with school issued laptops and free wifis everywhere 24/7? You're not even legally allowed to do that to, say, a 16 year old who enjoys human rights the same as anyone. Including right to privacy. You can't keep kids in a barrel either until they're 18.

Rly liking several friends doing these, we're often a bit out of movie ideas with the kiddo. For some reason it actually seems to be harder to find a really good horror movie than it is in many other genres - or at least it feels like that idk why.

Also why we should REALLY be catching kids on the spectrum early and have the necassary support for them including people who can explain their difference to them age-appropriately. What follows when we don't is often not pretty.

It's this messed up fact that while we are socially often very different, we retain many social qualities like needing to belong and reflecting ourselves on others. Probably what traumatizes many of us without needing a single event and in relatively okay NT enviroments. You never feel quite human.

Oldest just turned 18 and I'm still shocked he can get me a sauna beer from the store... I'll be so bored when they move on their own.

Challenging to explain these things in healthy ways to one's kids, not too early, not too late, when they start feeling the things - and figuring out when that would be 😅
