Based on the new first soldier mini episode, Remake Part 3 is going to follow DoC and use "Wusheng" for the Five Mighty Saints. Not gonna change this in SAC yet but I already feel the headache setting in for when I have to refer to individual saints.

there's a sizeable chunk of the fandom that will read this and immediately think about the Genesis/Weiss cliffhanger, but I would wager all the money I have that Hamaguchi has never even seen the secret ending of DoC. hell, I don't think a single Remake dev could even summarize it for you

Naoki Hamaguchi says that for the third and final part of the FFVII Remake series, which is currently in development, they are working to bring all the stories told so far together for an epic culmination that will leave a lasting impression on players! (SE, 9/29)
