Emet recognised him from the density of his soul but also from the feathers as Azem was always an avian fanatic. However he deemd N’arfi’s eyes to be wrong. N’arfi didn’t deal the final blow to Emet, instead it was Azem who temporarly borrowed the body because N’arfi passed out during the fight.

He survived with a permanent bleach job to his hair and some alterations to his clan markings (half miqo). He was extremely ill and was practically sprouting feathers from his body near the end that was extremely painful but he did his best to conceal and pluck them all so nobody would worry.

I'm now 24 years old and up until a few months ago, a guy would deliberately do this to me until i was crying from frustrations because he thought it was cute. It was not. It was actually harming me so I 100% understand where you come from ;_;
