for erhu music they usually use a solfege-like notation instead of a western staff notation (which i am used to having played piano since i was ~5 or 6) so with all of the traditional chinese songs it’s actually easier for me to learn by ear 😭

i think the repeated symbolism and motifs of astrology being present in a lot of various other esoteric traditions is what makes it more interesting to me (and also, i guess, to jung LOL) so while either are fine and good for self reflection, astrology just has more flavor, or smth haha
