Our MSc student Hannah Dixon participated in the eighth UN Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction forum last week. Held in Geneva, the event enabled participants to share new knowledge, exchange best practice and discuss the latest developments in reducing disaster risk. @es-ucl.bsky.social

On the second day of our field trip to the Azores, students had a go at taking soil carbon dioxide concentration and flux measurements to investigate soil diffuse degassing, which can be a significant hazard on parts of the island here. @es-ucl.bsky.social
