I can't see the difference. Can you see the difference?
Do you need a one-page resume? If you can fit everything that needs to be there, without cramming it in, maybe you do.

But maybe you need two pages, or even more. And if you try to jam what needs two pages into one, you're doing your resume a disservice.
Here's a fun stat. Know how many people haven't gotten a job, or been screened out by an ATS, because their resume was - gasp - two pages instead of one?

Zero. That's how many.

Can we kill the one-page-resume 'rule' yet?
Well, 'once-in-a-generation' isn't necessarily a positive descriptor. We also have 'once in a century storms'. They're also horrible, destructive, and damaging.
It's migration day! I deleted my account on ... that 'other' site. Committing fully to @bsky.app. Feels good. 😊
Here's a #NationalCoffeeDay shout-out to everyone starting their day looking for a new job. Keep moving, stay positive, keep your eye on the prize. The next resume, the next interview, could be *the one*. You've got this.
If a weakness is one that can’t be entirely overcome, what are the strategies you've found to lessen or mitigate the effect they have on your work? #InterviewTips #JobInterview #JobSearchTips
How have your weaknesses affected your work, and how seriously? If a weakness can be addressed or improved over time, what steps have you taken already to do that, and what else are you planning to do? ..2/3
Nobody likes talking about their weaknesses, but in almost every #JobInterview, you'll be asked about yours. Answering confidently and well - and honestly - means preparing for it. ..1/3
Great reminder and encouragement for introverts, @ShelleyPiedmont. Even calling *one person* for a first conversation can be a huge achievement for many.

On a #resume, a Profile is usually better than an Objective. An Objective is about what you want; a Profile is about what you’re offering. The latter is almost always more important. #ResumeTips #ResumeWriting #JobSearchTips

Making 'cold calls' as part of your #JobSearch? Here’s a hint from the sales world: Smile when you’re speaking on the phone. The person on the other end can hear it, making them more likely to be warm, welcoming. #JobSearchTips

If you’re using job *descriptions* to advertise *opportunities*, please just stop. That’s like inviting people to a party by sending them the recipe for the hors d’oeuvres. 🙃
Some #recruiters ask 'trick' questions to see how a candidate deals with the unexpected. Are you able to think on your feet? Are you able to respond quickly, even when you’re taken off guard? Do you react unprofessionally when surprised? #InterviewTips #JobInterview #JobSearch
Poll: If you've been asked to #WorkFromHome as a temporary measure, and your company is asking you to return to the office (assuming your work can be done just fine from anywhere), which of these best describes you?
The questions you ask in a #JobInterview show what matters most to you. Good questions help you figure out whether the job is a good fit. They also tell the #recruiter about who you are as a potential new hire. #InterviewTips #JobSearchTips
