A free EP I released in March and hoped would become less relevant as time goes on, seeing as how the title track is about the societal pre-conditions for World War (as seen "Through the Looking-Glass"). Instead... well, we all know the current state of things. 😔

My favorite of all the Bauhaus-related projects. I was pleased Dan and Kevin revived it with Poptone. The tweaker cover of this track is really good, too.

It’s #BandcampFriday which means is a perfect time to support artists by embracing this antidote to poor streaming income for the majority of acts during Spotify Wrapped & Apple Replay season

This was one of my ideas to make the most of year-end lists from this week’s @drownedinsound.org newsletter
My thoughts on the matter are that America's depravity level is apparently "somebody got shot... did they deserve it or not?" I'm sad that I live in a country where gun violence is accepted to the point where the conversation becomes about whether or not they deserved to be killed.
Thankfully, stable genius Yoon Suk Yeol decided to step in and selflessly commit political suicide to take some of the heat off.

Hey, South Korea, defending democracy by overthrowing it is the U.S.A.'s thing. Find your own hobby.
I think we're fundamentally in accord here. I'm a realist and know it's absurdly unlikely everyone would be morally consistent. But that doesn't mean that we should stop criticizing bad behavior. If we stop criticizing it, the bar just gets lowered to where it becomes the accepted norm.
At the point, it would be easy to see how the other side thinks we do nothing except feel morally superior. Our problem isn't being principled, our problem is that we quietly mumble about everything else except our principles.
One of the biggest problems we have is messaging. We always assume what's obvious to us is obvious to everyone, so we don't go waving banners when we do something good for the country. And a lot of our payoffs are slow, so that doesn't help in tandem with how quiet we are about our accomplishments.
So, we sell out principles just because it's the norm instead of finding a way to create a more principled norm? That doesn't work for me. At that point, we just become them.
And I'm seeing a lot of people celebrating this on Bluesky, even people I admire. To me, saying this behavior is okay is just one more tiny step towards us turning into what we hate.
But we should criticize people in power for improper behavior regardless of what side they're on. That's our job as citizens. If we give up on that - or worse yet, give it a pass when our side does it because the other side does it too - then what are we even aiming for? We can't normalize this.
As a fellow strong progressive Dem, I am in full agreement.
But isn't this pardon the type of behavior we're supposed to be fighting against instead of celebrating?
Isn't real life pretty much an echo chamber anyway? I hang out with people I like in real life, so why would I want to change that and hang out with people I don't get along with online?
Hahaha, the hot mic reaction is excellent!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊
Thank you! I was going for interesting, so... mission accomplished! 🙂
Excellent! And thank you 😊
Yeah... I definitely held back quite a bit on letting the track fully bloom, haha.
I dunno... that whole Merry Lego trip really seems more like a classic Malfoy move to me. Nope, I ain't buyin' it.

I was scrolling down to see if anybody else caught that. Nicely played.
Great article about a friend of mine and his band from the early 2000s. Really looking forward to hearing a proper release of their "lost album"!
Proof of that occurs at a highly exponential rate these days.
Sounds great! Love the trem & twang!
