EXACTLY!! bc if Val has given permission, it’d have to be bc he gave up on Angel (so never?) 👀 esp with the Vees’ usual tactic for Sinners being somewhat of a speedrun for fame and washed out…Angel’s already an exception and I can’t imagine that being for any reason but his connection to Valentino.

Husk’s ears twitch and swivel, his tail lifting to whip back and forth a couple times. “I fucking hate it when you get like this.”

“I’ve never BEEN like this!” Angel slams his hands on the counter.

“Yeah, this is definitely the worst I’ve seen you,” Husk tells him, every syllable full of venom. “Aren’t you supposed to be getting better? You’re fucking spiraling. How long do ya spend in the industry before porn stars hit ‘washed up’ status?”

Angel launches over the bar counter to attack Husk, but for the first time since the start of this whole mess it’s not for the hell of it. Husk fucking deserves this shit. The flash of cards flicking into Husk’s palm fills Angel with adrenaline, pushing pleasure beside the pain.

They each get a few hits in before Vaggie forces them apart with way more strength than Angel ever expected her to have in that tiny body, holy fuck. She doesn’t have to draw out her spear, instead forcing her small body between them and shoving them both hard. Angel curses himself - he should know better by now how strong moth demons are.

sharing one of my favorite moments between Angel Dust, Husk, and Cherri Bomb - Cherri’s first move of vengeance during the Extermination, right after Sir Pentious was slaughtered.

“Husk, Angie tells me you’re strong,” Cherri says.

“Yeah?” Husk grunts with his most recent throw. That card slices open an exorcist’s gut, making Husk smirk when she falls to the gluttonous cannibals below her. Completely unfair that Angel has no time at all to admire him.

🍒 takes out 2 of her bombs to hold in one hand. They’re larger than her usual ones. She uses her other hand to jerk her thumb over her shoulder, toward the sky. “I don’t have a lot of these left, but if I get up there I could fuck up more than a handful of those dickheads.”

Needing no further instruction, Husk jumps to the air, flying once, twice in a tight ⭕️ around them to build up his speed. 🍒 shoots her free hand above her & Husk grabs her forearm exactly as he 🚀s out of his acceleration laps toward the gathered exorcists. 🍒 uses the momentum to swing her feet up & curl her knees to her chest, hiding her bombs & making it more difficult for anyone to rip her from Husk’s grip.

Angel provides cover, shooting the exorcists that try to target them. He only stops shooting when he sees Husk & 🍒 get close enough to their target that any other exorcists who make the mistake of flying too close will be caught in the range of the bombs.

Black wings block his view of his 2 favorite people in Hell & Angel’s throat tightens with emotion. For a few ❤️-stopping beats, nothing happens. C’mon…c’mon…

A red cocoon drops from the crowd of exorcists, plummeting toward the ground, & today’s biggest explosion yet takes out at least 9 of the exorcists. Just before impact of feathers against dirt, Husk unfurls his wings & snaps them open to sail right above the ground, him & 🍒 clinging to each other as he dodges the falling bodies of those killed by the explosion.

Aiming for Angel and Niffty, Husk overshoots it a little; Angel dives out of the way, & Husk nyooms past right before he pulls himself upright & snaps his wings all the way out to slow. He drops 🍒 back onto her feet & touches down beside her.

I agree with your assessment on Velvette. that said, if Vox goes after Angel Dust specifically without Val’s knowledge/say so…I do think the potential of it being Valentino is high. Angel Dust belongs to HIM.
