TLDR; The PSF has made the decision to put our community and our shared diversity, equity, and inclusion values ahead of seeking $1.5M in new revenue. Please read and share. pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/NSF-...

arcsys is the world's worst fucking fight game developer and all their staff deserve to be tortured in hell for eternity
if you were building a library and trying to stay on top of new releases, ps was king. if you want a fg library nearly double the size of the 360, ps3 is king. if you have money invested in the playstation digital games, there's no reason to buy an xbox. tekken 8 is not worth losing 100% of your fgs
but ps got the ah3 sixstars update and plus r 2 months before xbox. the whole thing was "why buy a ps5 instead of a cheaper xbox" and the whole reason is ps actually built a good foundation of fighting games and got them on the console early.
and ps5 has backwards compatibility with some games... its strictly better to stick with them because of their ecosystem alone. the comparative lower price for an xbox for tekken 8 is not worth losing literally your entire library for some.
in addition to having nitroplus already in your PS digital library
ps5 doesn't have exclusive fgs, but it has the benefit of ps4 backwards compatibility and is within the PS ecosystem. since the digital shift, ecosystems have become really important. if you wanted to run nitroplus and tekken 8, a ps5 is strictly better because you'd only need to bring 1 console...
and thats even without ps2 backwards compatibility... i think by virtue of being more popular in japan, ps is destined to have a better library of fgs. hell, even the wii got more fg exclusives than the 360 (tvc, twinkle queen, accent core and toshinden vs doa4, samsho sen and rumble roses xx)
for some reason the thread is reply locked... i'd say even in the 360 era, xb lagged behind the ps in terms of fighting game releases even though it was known for better performance (thus more widely used). ps3 exclusively got dengeki, nitroplus, gundam exvs, xrd, bbcf, phantom breaker, and uni...
Thing is the 360's releases for fighters were way more plentiful than the last 2 Xboxes.
this is about an acquaintance of mine (not a friendly acquaintance mind you, i dislike it for other reasons too) who likes the idea of being an object but also thinks working is awful
mfs will understand the eros of the machine and then act like a system that treats them like part of a machine is the worst thing ever
i thought FMD muramasa's textboxes were weird, it turns out if you read it in japanese, the textboxes contain right aligned vertical writing which fell out of use near ww2 (the time period FMD muramasa takes place in). nitroplus might be the best to ever do it...
+r has the same issues in its tm imo... yeah lemme hold down back for a cornered setup instead of just back and also don't let meters deplete
tfh training mode kinda agitates me like sure lets give you options to make impossible combos because of how the meter refill options are listed and while we're at it lets make all the commands on the command list tiny as fuck because we're trying to show every universal mechanic at once to
i hope the ai bubble bursts and sam altman and the nvidia guy get dragged into the streets and beheaded because it should not be 75 degrees in october
fighting +r millia sucks

On this day 8 years ago, the official Sonic the Hedgehog social media account did a parody of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, imitating the game's character select screen with various characters from the Sonic franchise.
