From @noirlabastro.bsky.social: These ancient stars at the core of globular cluster NGC 6624 were captured by the Gemini South telescope. They are up to 12.5 billion years old, born when the Universe was just a fraction of its current age. #astronomy

Galaxies NGC 5394 (right) and NGC 5395 (left) have been doing the cosmic cha-cha for millions of years. They may have already collided, and one day they’ll merge into a single shining showstopper. #astronomy noirlab.edu/public/news/...

From @noirlabastro.bsky.social : The dark nebula Barnard 86 is a dense cloud of gas and dust that blocks the Milky Way’s rich star field behind it. Some people say it looks like a gecko. What do you see? #astronomy

From @noirlabastro.bsky.social: In this long-exposure photo of Gemini North (½ of the International Gemini Observatory), the streaks of light to the left are satellites crossing the sky, identifiable by the breaks in the star trails. #astronomy

The US partner received 266 Gemini proposals for the 2026A semester. About 75% of those were submitted within 48 hours of the (extended) deadline (we are not looking at you 🙂)! Our Time Allocation Committee will soon review and rank the proposals, so stay tuned! #astronomy
