finished up the references for this criminal duo 🤠
A reference sheet for a character called Grimhildt. He is a tall slender man wearing a dark mustard yellow cloak over his chest and a crude chainmail. He has wild, light brown hair and a bandana on his forehead. His green pants are flared at the bottom and sewn up with various stitches. i don't know for PS, but in CSP if you go to the sub tool detail panel for your text tool when there's already text placed on screen, the glyphs should be under the "text list" category!

i think it's kinda fun to look at the more recent lineup of illustrations in my portfolio and then look at the lineup of pieces from a few years ago and see how much i started leaning into everything having a Dark Crustiness to it

thank you!! it was rendered with the Yum brush from this set of mine, but tbh a lot of the textures overlayed here were just mish-mashed together textures from the csp assets store and/or from royalty free stock images that i edited for use in csp. i also heavily abused the tone layer effect!

to be fair i like both approaches, but i've gotten a lot bolder with the presentation and atmosphere of my more recent stuff which is more true to my interests and less "plain" looking. so i am definitely biased towards the new stuff even beyond my technical skill having improved
