Jerry’s backyard is completely empty; & not just because he recently moved in. Carrie can faintly hear the ignition from Jerry’s truck going off in the garage before he drives out into the street.

The back door is locked, unsurprisingly. But a hollow rock on the grass hides the key for it.

All of Jerry’s windows are covered up. Not with curtains or shades, but with black paint. Keeps the sunlight out. Carrie can’t see anything. For a while, nothing has happened.

Then, there was a scream from Jerry’s house. A loud, horrified scream. Then nothing again, which is even more frightening.
