I really like Parasite Eve II but I also played it first because the original has never been released in Europe

In the 90s we didn't get shit when it comes to jrpgs, then in the early 2000s it got better but we'd randomly only get sequels (this, Saga Frontier 2 but not 1, Xenosaga 2 but not 1 or 3)
Finally got around to learning a non-Fury TOD in 2XKO

Kills everyone from a 5M starter, kills everyone up to Vi with otg 3H in place of the last Ahri super

Also this is -12 on hit which makes it punishable with air buttons, which is extremely funny

Miner: Dig Deep, an Xbox Live Indie Game from 2009 that I just now found out was rereleased on Steam in 2020
The only NES Megaman games I played as a kid were 3 and 4 and I have always been a Skull Man theme enjoyer
There are Lowtaxes everywhere for those with the eyes to see
Those aren't Super Famicom, they're PAL Super Nintendo controller and games. The FFMQ cart says "Mystic Quest Legend" because that's what it was called here, because we didn't get a real FF until 7 so they couldn't attach the name. But yeah still wrong if the book is US only
Bros Pointe Blank, got it
In Tales of Xillia cities have background noises to make them feel bigger and livelier, including vendors hawking their wares. For some reason the voiceline of a meat vendor going "MUTTON, FRESH MUTTON!" is much louder than anything else, so it's always the first thing you hear anywhere you go
In fact I just brought my childhood NES home with me from my mom's, still works but the problem is we sold almost all of my games when I got a SNES. I thought the only game left was SMB but no, turns out I also still have Addams Family, presumably because nobody wanted to buy that garbage
The NES was very popular in the Nordics thanks to the Swedish company Bergsala, who was and still is the official distributor of all things Nintendo. Like yeah it didn’t completely dominate the market like the C64 had, but when I started school in 91 in Finland practically everyone had an NES
I hope they don't cover his deranged neck tattoo and just let Guile have it
CM round 1, 35-5: Hell yeah
CM round 2, 21-19: Oh no
CM finals: Hell yeah

Yeah this was my first thought too, I was like "C'mon man you can't call it THAT"
Where's Stanley the Bugman when you need him

I saw people posting their personal top 10 lists for NYT's big "The 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century" thing but I don't use that, so I just dug up my old practically abandoned Letterboxd account. This a pretty vibes-based list but then again aren't they all
Hey now, the guy who won SF6 at CEO this weekend was only 25, a literal child

(the 2nd place finisher was 39)
I was 13 and reading stuff like Forgotten Realms and Discworld at the time, and HP seemed much more like a childrens book to me so I ignored it. Was I a dumb teenager overestimating the maturity level of myself and what I liked? Yes. Did that turn out to be the optimal thing for me to do? Also yes.
The @retronauts.bsky.social Samurai Shodown episode where you talk about working with SNK to get this done was really interesting (I'm terribly behind on all my podcasts and only just listened to it last fall even though the episode is from 2020)
Who is the Dersu Uzala of Star Wars
Yeah we've had these in Finland since like the 70s except they're connected to the sink, they're great. There's also a famous ad from 1978 featuring a naked man with a very era-appropriate moustache/sideburns combo sitting on the toilet washing his crotch
This is the only Wikipedia article I've ever edited (I fixed a small error in the title of some book in the 'Further reading' section in like 2012)
