It was taken just before dawn, but did not see the sunrise, just grey clouds. Pleased you like it.

Yesterday, found an emerging fungi (pic 1) in the garden. Today went to look and see if it had emerged further only to discover that that it had been eaten by a small rodent. The giveaway was the small hole (top right in the second pic) with a trail of crumbs leading to it.

Adult Magpie in the garden this morning, a juvenile can be seen in the background.

Lots of Cotoneaster berries this year which the Blackbirds will appreciate. The apples are ready for picking as they are starting to fall. Three Common Buzzards over the garden late afternoon.

White Saddle fungi, appears annually in the garden. Always wanted a Snowberry bush but never got around to buying one but a couple of years ago one appeared and assume the seed was carried by a bird. Teasel now look very autumnal but the Ladybirds do not seem to mind.

Quick trip to Sheringham first thing this morning and it was very wet. Only a few Turnstones about, 3 including this one. The cobwebs were catching lots of rain drops but the Pyracanthas looked quite dry.

Cormorant, one of 16 seen at the lake in Felbrigg NT yesterday, but the highlight were the 7 Pink-footed Geese that dropped in and circled the lake several times before heading east. Found one of King Alfred's Cakes on a moss covered tree stump.

Visit to Felbrigg NT this morning and found lots of Sweet Chestnuts scattered across the path but only found one that had opened to reveal the nuts. Powdery Brittlegill (?) laying amongst the leaf litter and Harebells can still ne found in the meadow.

A few hedgehogs in the garden last night.

Brightly coloured Wood Duck seen at Bubbling Ponds Arizona in spring. The colours on the female Wood Duck are much paler as are the chicks. The Leopard Frog is also brightly coloured in green and gold.

The Foxgloves which flowered at the back of the house this year have self-seeded in the shingle. Looking forward to them flowering next year.

Little Egret seen a few weeks ago, leaping into the air, flying and landing to pose for a picture.

Came across a Hairy Shieldbug whilst out today, not seen one this year. Yellow Horned Poppy still in flower and brightening up the dunes.
Just put the camera away when 300+ Pink-footed Geese flew over the house this evening. Will not be putting the camera away early again!

Small flock heard from the garden on Saturday and Sunday. Cannot wait to see the large flocks passing over the garden - magic

Watched a large flock, departing Cley Marshes last weekend. Since then, I have heard them flying near the house as they head inland in search of food. Nice vid, even with the loud bang.

No photographs from today - too busy - so here are a couple from a sunny day in spring. Male Chaffinch looking very bright and colourful and a Jay pondering upon which sunflower seed to eat.

Much brighter day yesterday so worked on a few garden jobs but took time out to do a bit of sky watching. Spotted a distant Red Kite and then a Common Buzzard which was then joined by three others. They circled overhead for a while gradually gaining height before dispersing.

Taking a picture of this Small Copper butterfly at Felbrigg NT yesterday and noticed movement in the grass, turned out to be a frog making its way through the undergrowth.
