Caffeine is a helluvva drug for that feel, just rest up to a chill tv show or something and no more caffeine!! It will pass soon c: caffeine spikes up almost as fast as it metabolises and crashes down
Super cool! I messed with convex mirror projector stuff years ago before pbr, but never put an animated normal texture on it :D. Beautiful effect!

I've also no idea which textures you are saying are good or bad. The most hand paint able one has bad texel density. Another has two islands that look the same so could be superimposed to improve density. Are we targeting face reduction for fps or more smaller textures for better vram utilisation?
"this is what is good" is a bit iffy. If you can use an old book to hammer in a nail, it's still an effective tool. If it works, it works. There are many varied things to target for an optimal map in different situations. Sadly, the main target in SL product creation is usually production speed.

I love pbr a lot, I hope the lighting in SL improves soon so we can make the most of it.
Not any more. There would need to be a lot of quality of life improvements to make it feel remotely close to even the most basic of shooter games now. Current SLMC players seem to hark back to the glory days of old, and refer to YouTube videos of 'combat' running at 5fps more than a decade ago.
If you want to move to another menu type, perhaps pie menus can be hidden behind a shift-right click or something for power users.
Yes, more reflexive, muscle memory for doing things. It driven me insane when firestorm changed which pie dles what recently because it was so engrained.
