In October 1976, RCA brought their mobile recording trucks to Graceland, turning Elvis’ Jungle Room into a makeshift studio. The “Jungle Room sessions” would become the last studio recordings of his career. 🤍⚡

On September 21, 1970, Elvis was named an honorary deputy sheriff of Shelby County, Tennessee, by Sheriff Roy C. Nixon. The badge he received that day is one of many artifacts preserved in the Graceland Archives.

On September 11, 1958, Elvis was assigned to the 3rd Armored Division based in Germany. In a final message to his fans, Elvis expressed, “I hope I’m not out of their minds. I’ll be looking forward to the time when I can come back and entertain again like I did.”
