On Saturday, as my beloved father was dying, I was doing my taxes. It was rather surreal. Then, I just knew he would crack a self-deprecating joke:

'Leave it to me to help you face life's two inevitables in one day: death and taxes.'

He died late that night.

After the fall, we must demand:

1. Funds appropriated by Congress cannot be easily diverted or stopped through rescission, reprogramming, or a transfer.

2. Transparency for ALL enforcement officers. Funding for ICE must be greatly reduced.

3. Supreme Court MUST not be allowed to police itself.
