I mean, this does not excuse Israelis' responsibility for electing and reelecting Netanyahu, just like it does not excuse ours for electing and reelecting Trump. It simply puts things in context. After all, Jews are humans, just as everyone else.

You have much less at stake personally than a national guardsman does. Have *you* put your body between ICE goons & immigrants? So maybe shut your mouth until you do.

The resistance is almost entirely non-violent so ICE doesn't need protection. As long as guardsmen don't assist ICE, they are ok.

It was clear from the day Trump was reelected, that the only way to come back was for his voters (& non-voters) to feel a lot of pain.

Due to trumpists incompetence & corruption there'll be lots of pain. & since they despise their marks even more than they hate opponents, those marks will suffer.

Not quite. The choice is between doing the right thing by following the law or being safe by obeying illegal orders. The choice is harder because a corrupt SCOTUS may bless the illegal orders.

(As long as they are, e.g., picking up garbage in DC, that moment of choice hasn't been yet reached.)

Filibuster helps Rs more than Ds. The point is that Ds are party of the governing, and they need a working Congress to govern. Rs are party of the destruction of the government, they like it when Congress doesn't work. Filibuster hampers governing, so more often than not it helps Rs.

No doubt you are unteachable but in the spirit of education:
*Judaism is an ethnic religion.
*Jews are members of an ethnic group who may or may not practice that religion (in today's world most don't).
