This old haunted house
is shaking in the cold.
Flies buzzing,
chips munching, crunching,
as the floor groans with every step.
Fatigue clings like frost.
I’ve lit no candle,
I'm too busy resisting blatant lies.
I'm not falling for the noise,
just drifting here,
barely, barely awake.
