My dearest DF, happy anniversary! Seven wonderful years with you! I don't know how time passed so quickly. I can clearly remember you walking me home at night to the crappiest apartment I ever lived in on one of our first dates, making me feel safe and loved even then.

This is a YA book, and a lot of the time I don't like YA because the writing "talks down" to the audience and is just bad. This book is a good example of that. I got about 25% of the way through before quitting.
