I saw someone saying they grew up with food insecurity, and if there was a choice on Halloween, they actually wanted the candy, but their parents made them take the real food. They didn’t want to be in trouble in front of strangers, so they took it.

I’d still say donate that money to the food bank

I had a cousin that was chasing a baseball scholarship
and I feel like the amount they spent on travel ball, if they just put it in a savings account instead, could’ve done a lot to pay for college

Our contemporary service did/does it this way by family/individual, with deacons at several tables around the back.
I’m in traditional service anyway because of choir, but I did not really like this model. I do take the point of it at least being done in the company of the church but… yeah, idk.

We had a 1:35 ratio in some AP classes at my last school! I swear one of them said they had a class of 40.

(Not Canada, but yeah, ratios are very important)

Nearly every time my kid clicks on a Khan Academy book in the app, I’m surprised that they have poems by Sylvia Platt on a kids app
and then realize the author is CYNTHIA Platt
