it's terrible!! and a ton of people seem to like the art and it kills me every time bc harukawa's designs are SO clean and expressive and unique and emotive and they just get turned into this... sameface slop that all have 2 expressions each and look 12 :( this kills the me

i wish i could hold myself to normal person standards. my therapist was always like "rei, you don't need to get all a's. you can just be okay at some things, so you can focus on things you're good at." but i literally cannot! i literally cannot do that. i vaguely know why but i can't, like, fix it

it's so bizarre how so much of the misogyny i experienced at bux disappeared entirely when i went to targé and the only thing that changed was i stopped dressing cute, wearing skirts, and pitching up. like it was insane. becoming dead inside literally made me parse as a man

i genuinely can't get over how the stormbringer manga manages to make everyone, including verlaine, look like they're genderless twelve year olds from a bad 90s BL manga. the garden of ukes truly bountiful and i hope someone poisons the entire fucking crop

i literally own the manga (and all of 15) and i don't think i've read either of them bc the artstyle genuinely gives me a headache. sometimes i reference specific chapters (like the end of beast) but that's about it. it's so annoying. and i'm so mad that stormbringer is getting ruined now too

oyoyo's art captures the vibe of harukawa's while still retaining individuality and doesn't give me a fucking migraine when i look at it. beautiful. gorgeous. we stan an artist who doesn't draw by using paint fill #000000 on a bunch of incoherent triangles abstractly representing dazai.

genuinely i don't think i would have read or watched bungou if it was in hoshikawa's artstyle. i dutifully buy and read the manga adaptations but i hate them. they couldn't have found a single artist that fit the vibe better? not a single fucking one??? the gaiden manga is fine.

it's bungou stray dogs not twenty fucking ten dogs bullet and carnage, this edgy ass artstyle doesn't suit any of the narratives, it's the manga equivalent to the cluttered ass hazbin artstyle and has no substance to it and i absolutely hate it. i WILL die on this hill.

i hate the art style of the beast/15 manga adaptation more than words can ever express and it's so frustrating because beast is one of my favorite stories and i find the manga nigh unreadable. i saw someone say they liked it better than sango's mainline art and i swear to god i saw red for a second
