Listening to an archeology video and they are discussing the coexistence of hunter-gatherers and early farmers. It made me speculate that homeless people now are sort of the modern day hunter gatherers. It's probably a meaningless and stupid thought. But, we seem to think these patterns long gone.

Makes me wish there were a genre identifier that I could just plug it in and get the genre, instead of trying to guess which part of it the potential agent will focus on and how they interpret the genres.

And now I am working on another one. Should it be Literary Women's Speculative Fiction? Sci Fi? Fantasy? I get told all of these. It's a story about a woman who wants to start an agility retreat but has a lot of family issues and stuff, and then there is a space alien. It all fits together, honest.

Then there was what I thought of as a Flyball Cozy Mystery. But, it kind of bends and twists out of that category, because it wasn't really a whodunnit and more of a how do we cope with it. Should it be contemporary fiction?

I write such weird stuff. One of my books was a sort of cockroach soap opera. They had philosophy, religious mania, issues of self-reflection and emotional growth. There were also Ganja forests. No clue what to call it, so I self-pubbed it.

I am getting so excited about the draft I am working on. It has all the stuff! Word count each day is just flying out of my little clicking fingers. I laugh and cry as I work on it. Does this mean that tomorrow I will decide it's trash? #writing
