Today’s release of all remaining hostages is a moment of relief and hope.

At the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit, Starmer must push to expand the aid into Gaza and lead efforts with allies to end the violence for good- through securing real progress toward a two-state solution.

Plans to tax racecourse betting the same as online gambling could threaten a proud British sport.

Venues like Bath Racecourse contribute to our local economy; they need our backing, not higher taxes.

That's why I called for a debate in Parliament ahead of the Budget to discuss these proposals 👇🏇
Our hospices are in crisis.

Chronic underfunding means services are being slashed and sick people are being turned away from empty beds.

That's why I’ve signed Alison Bennett's letter urging the Government to step in and give hospices the support, and the recognition, they need. 👇
The escalating violence and deepening humanitarian crisis in Sudan are devastating. We are seeing civilians enduring immense suffering.

The Government must work with the US and Quad group to push for a ceasefire, protect civilians, and prevent the violence from spreading across the wider region.

1 in 7 people in England fear living near someone with a mental health condition. This is a worrying rise in stigma which we know fuels isolation and hinders recovery.

Education on mental illnesses is vital to challenge this fear and stigma, and replace it with compassion and understanding.

We @libdems.org.uk have a plan to save our hospices:

🔶Ensure funding always meets need, so everyone can get care.
🔶Guarantee ring-fenced funding for children’s hospices.

40% of hospices in England are preparing to cut services or stop end of life care in 6 months. They're at breaking point.

I’ve seen this first-hand as our own Dorothy House faces a severe funding shortfall.

That's why we Lib Dems are calling on the Government to support their vital work.
Today is Lobular Breast Cancer Awareness Day. In the UK, 22 women are diagnosed daily with this form of breast cancer.

Early detection saves lives. That's why I will continue to push for screening reform including lowering the screening age & alternative testing for those with dense breast tissue.
Homelessness requires long-term solutions not quick fixes.

The Government’s £9.1m winter support for the South West is not enough. We @libdems.org.uk are calling for them to take real action.

Emergency care workers go above and beyond under extremely tough conditions. It’s time they got the recognition they deserve.

I'm extremely grateful to all A&E teams in Bath and across the UK.

This is utterly unacceptable and yet another barrier to growth.

China’s proposed super embassy is a serious threat to national security.

Reports that our intelligence agencies have been prevented from raising concerns around spying is particularly alarming.

The Government must act now to block this embassy and protect our national interests.

I welcome the Israeli Cabinet's vote for a ceasefire and IDF withdrawal.

Now is a critical moment.

The UK and our allies must ensure the deal is implemented—to free the hostages, get aid into Gaza, and end the violence.

This must be the first step to a two-state solution and lasting peace.

Farmers face an 18% cut in milk prices from some buyers.

It's unacceptable that this can happen with little oversight. The current regulatory system is too weak and fragmented.
