Last week, we had the pleasure of meeting the High Sheriff of Shropshire Jane Trowbridge along with the Chief Fire Officer Simon Hardiman from Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service

This was a fantastic opportunity to explain the great work that our volunteers carry out across the West Mercia region.

As we continue our focus on water safety, we thought we would share this 3 second video of a throwline, well, being thrownlined.

According to the social media influenza's, 3 seconds videos are all the rage, so we expect this video to go virus 🎉😬🎉

The team are back at the Royal Three Counties Show today.

There will be more throwline antics, more climbing wall action, more photo opportunities on the quads and kayaks.

We're opposite the STIHL stand. We might not have chainsaws and axes, but we've got incredible volunteers.

Well, this is unexpected.

An impromptu kite flying session apparently.

Just look at those little faces, focussed, mesmerized by their skills.
It's amazing how people just drop in to say hi to our incredible volunteers. Some folks just walk up to the WMSAR zone, others use more elaborate ways.

Whatever your method, you'll always get a smile on arrival 😀😃😁

As well as fundraising today in the Tesco Extra in #Shrewsbury we also received a community grant of £1400 to go towards our operational running costs for river deployment and patrols.

For a small 100% volunteer run charity, this is a massive help for us.

The team is all set up for the day, fundraising at Tesco Extra in Shrewsbury.

Our volunteers are looking forward to meeting people and talking about the important work they perform for our community. If you're in the area, pop along and say hi.
We're all set up ready to meet the residents of Worfield and share the work our volunteers carry out in the community.

We would like to say thank you to Worfield & Rudge Parish Council for inviting us to the village hall to speak alongside West Mercia PCC who is a big advocate of our work.
