Sanctuary News. Max has been on our Wild Horse Canyon Sanctuary crew since 2021. He has recently earned the position of Sanctuary Assistant Manager, or Ass Man as we lovingly call him. Max will be filling the position of Sanctuary Mgr when Craig Boyd, our current Mgr, moves to Florida next year.

Happy Twosday. Here are two of my favorite things. Cheyenne Price and Adam Rudolph. Cheyenne is our Lancaster Ranch manager and Adam is her right hand man. Together, with the help of a small ranch crew, they feed and care for over 100 horses. Nobody does it better! I am grateful for these two peeps.

Smile - It's Saturday! This is Chanel. She's was abandoned by a neighbor years ago. We took her in. We've never known how old she is, but her teeth suggest she could be 25 or more. Yesterday was dental day for a few of our Lancaster Ranch residents. Look at that awesome dental rig with a built in stanchion. Many thanks to the ASPCA for a grant that is paying for these procedures.

Thirsty Thursday. Water is life! At our Wild Horse Canyon Sanctuary we have 13 different wells serving our 1300 acres of sanctuary parcels. They require a lot of maintenance. This is Bonnie and Clyde. These mules were abandoned by pot "farmers" when they got raided DEA. The white scars are where harness straps would have been on Clyde's neck and head. Too tight and for too long - they rubbed into his hide. They are safe and happy now at Wild Horse Canyon.
