Feeling tender today — I said goodbye to a cat client I’ve known for five years.

Buzzy was part of my healing practice for so long, it’s hard to imagine not seeing his name on my schedule.

Even after years of this work, I still grieve.

However, I got more exercise and mystified the construction teams (that was fun). I also managed to gather some conkers (horse chestnut tree seeds) to bring home to my local squirrels, which I placed on the Squirrel Picnic Table at the Wild Rose Café. It will be a pleasant surprise treat for them!

He was bug-eyed over the size of the eagle, and thoroughly approved of the meat's decimation, lol. By the time the video finished, he had crawled into my lap as close to the screen as he could get without being on the keyboard. Definitely cat-approved!

I was watching a YT wildlife video of what happens when you leave a pile of steaks out in the woods in winter, and my cat Tamerlan was asleep next to me on the sofa. He woke up when the flock of Ravens got excited, just in time to see the Bald Eagle arrive. 🧵

Three years ago, foster cats Noctua & Sadiya were rescued from a hoarding situation—starving, terrified, & clinging to life.

Today, they rush over for Brushing Time, purring so loudly you can feel their joy. It’s a small, everyday miracle of trust.
