With the passing of George Wendt I suddenly remembered how I played the Cheers theme song on the piano during my elementary school talent show and no one batted an eye over a 10 year old playing the song for a television show that was centered around a bar.
This is my district. Josh Weil had supporters on the street corners with signs on Saturday. He was in my neighborhood Sunday knocking on doors despite incoming thunderstorms. I saw his signs literally everywhere. All Fine did was send me a bunch of junk mail. Don’t give up on us yet.
Worth noting that Florida is a closed primary state so you will have voters registered as Republicans that don’t necessarily vote on those party lines.
I once heard the phrase “Let them be little.” and then ended up with a kid in full Harry Potter robes yelling “wingardium leviosa” at cans of soup in the aisles at Publix. Worth it.
Gift cards are great, but if possible make sure it’s one the teacher can actually use. I don’t drink coffee and still have Starbucks cards from like 5 years ago that I’ve just been letting my kid slowly use up.
