The data is unequivocal: we have never in our history had more stuff than now. Our lives should be better, we should be happier. But we’re not. The data doesn't match reality; therefore, we’ve lost trust in data, information, and science.

Capitalism is an ideology where the predominant values are productivity, growth, and competition. According to these values, a world with more is a better place. The data is unequivocal: we have never in our history had more stuff than now. We should be happier. But we’re not.

Objectivity doesn't exist. All information and knowledge is created or interpreted through an ideological lens. The dominant lens throughout the last few hundred years has been capitalism.

When Darwin wrote and published his work, theories of capitalism were highly influential. The interpretation of his theories, was influenced by these ideas. What would have happened if On the Origin of Species had been published a few years after Marx's Das Kapital, instead of a few years before?

A company’s stock value may be sky-high, but employees have to work longer hours, with more stress, for the same money. The data says things are going great; the employees' reality doesn't. This is inequality at its best. The way we describe the world with data doesn’t equal the world's true state.
