Update: I think my son is not a disaster movie fan. He said it’s too stressful. He gave Dante’s Peak a 2/10 and both points were because the dog didn’t die. 😂

We are having a disaster movie marathon during fall break. We started last night with Armageddon (My son gave it a 4/10 because he said drilling on an asteroid wouldn’t work 😂). Tonight we are watching Dante’s Peak. 🌋

And that apparently *would* blow it apart. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

He pointed out that there wouldn’t actually be enough gravity and drilling wouldn’t work. He then went on to explain that you’d want the asteroid to impale itself with giant tungsten spikes, then after it had speared itself, the last spike would have nukes in it that would detonate.

Just finished a book that made me want to throw it across the room and totally crash out. My hats off to authors who can weave stories that cause my emotions to run the gamut from joy to devastation. They are truly magical beings.

It happens more often than I’d like. Perks of living on the edge of town I guess.

Well now I’m gonna throw up. 🤢

It’s was by the time she had dragged it onto the brick wall.

At least it was outside?

I had a very similar response. 😂

Yep, like a train wreck. 😂

It might be. It looks small to be a tarantula (the photo is zoomed in). I’ve seen plenty of those around and this was definitely smaller than the ones I’ve seen, so maybe it was a young one.

I may never sleep again after discovering this nightmare fuel on the back patio. Some sort of bug was dragging a wolf spider around. I made @horseyj.bsky.social go out there and take pics so we could identify it. Apparently spider wasps are a thing. So. That’s great.

He’s doing a little better today thankfully.

It was a flood. Yes, we moved back in at the end of August thankfully. It was a very stressful summer!

Thank you random internet weirdos for reminding me why I haven’t been very active on social media the past year. Have the day you deserve. 🫡

That’s really nice of you! And understandable. Everyone is struggling right now in one way or another it seems.

Oh no! I hope he’s ok!
