To follow up on this post: I now have a week of data using this lurk redeem and I've noticed a sizeable increase for people being counted as viewers for my small community. Again nothing conclusive but I invite you all to try this out and let me know if anything changes!

With the talk of lurkers not being counted as viewers, these past few days I began testing out a thing to adapt. I used one of my channel redeems a lurk reminder to see if twitch recognizes it as a viewer being an active watcher. Small data set so far but I have noticed an uptick in views.

As a follow up: I realized this goal I have energizes me to stream on days where I feel less then great. I really wanted a chill space like what I am attempting to build growing up. And not having it sucked, making it available for others motivates me.

Something that has helped me maintain daily streaming for three years is my goal of creating a space I wish I had growing up. Just offering a chill space to joke around and talk games is something I wish I had earlier in life and I want to make that space for others.
