I've been building on a game I made for a recent jam: Plague Messiah.

During the jam I had to cut the battle sprites, a shame because I really thought they'd help sell the world. Just got around to penning the Messiah herself, what do you think?

I love the stage of #gamedev where you start to feel the project come alive.

Everything might still be placeholders but you can feel the world and the characters respond to your actions. It's great.

Was very inspired by the #GuildWars2 profession art when painting my Kommandos. I imagined them walking straight out of a white, red & green canvas and slitting the throats of any unfortunate Astra-Militarum.

Archaon on steed is one the models I would most like to #kitbash. Big fan of the character.

Named characters are not often part of my armies but I made my first batch of Warriors for warcry and well, it seems cool that they'd band under Archaon. #warhammer

One of the reasons it works so well is because it's a roguelite.

You expect a high death toll and so streamlining combat statistics helps keep the focus on the bigger picture. Such a crucial design choice IMO.

Late to the party but I LOVE #DarkestDungeon2

Throwing away Attack, Defense and Accuracy in favour of buffs is wild, and yet it makes fights feel so smooth.

I am a huge fan of tightly designed combat and this one really takes the cake.

Been replaying FFVI recently. Surprising how this game offers almost no meaningful choice until about 20 hours in and yet still feels absolutely stellar.

Crazy how almost all the early skills are auto-aimed. Really puts notions of "Good Game Design" into perspective. #FinalFantasy

If there was one skill I'm grateful I spent my 20s honing it's discipline. So much of indie dev is discipline. Discipline to write code every day, discipline to learn whatever skills the project needs, discipline to adapt when the project isn't feeling right. #indiedev
