I’m thrilled to share that our manuscript has been awarded the 2025 Stuart Hall Award 🏆 at @iamcr.org. This award recognizes grad students and early-career scholars dedicated to critical, interventionist scholarship, and I’m deeply honored to be among this year’s recipients.

Our department hosted a ‘solid’ post-conference at CU Boulder Main Campus on “Ethnography of Communication: Affirming and Reshaping the Tradition.” It was an amazing opportunity to connect with scholars in LSI and ethnographic traditions.

I also had the opportunity to present a research project—funded by the Wuhan LGBTQ+ Center, China—on the ICA Intergroup Communication panel. This project is one of my M.A. research works.

I was honored to participate in the @ica-lsi.bsky.social Research Escalator Session with my advisor Dr. Leah Sprain. It was my first time engaging in this format, and I found it incredibly helpful for the manuscript we’re developing.

Even in the brief 10–15-minute presentations, I learned so much from the brilliance and generosity of others' works. Deep thanks to colleagues who showed up to my panel—your support means the world!

Wrapped up an inspiring @icahdq.bsky.social #ICA2025 in Denver! Grateful to be part of such a vibrant community of communication scholars. What I love most about conferences like ICA is how humbling and expansive they are—reminding me how much there always is to learn. Until next time! 📚

We explored public opinion, political communication, and gendered discourse within the Chinese context.

I‘m also deeply grateful to Dr. Tianyang Liu (Assoc. Prof) for mentoring me through some of the works we collaborated on. I’ve learned so much from both of them.

This achievement would not have been possible without the generous guidance and support of my supervisor, Dr. Tianru Guan (Assoc. Prof). Our co-authored works have been published in Digital Journalism, Asian Journal of Communication, and China: An International Journal!
