I hate it SO MUCH when ppl go "yeah we should hang! just let me know when you're free" and then I do that and they just skirt around it or ignore me entirely??? like if you didn't want to spend time with me pls say that, I will not be & I also won't get my hopes up either

honestly with some authors i feel like they just don't know or don't understand why its bad?? it's just an easy way to give visuals to their characters and there is zero thought further than that, but its hard to decipher which are just ignorant of it and which are genuinely clueless 🙃
