Gabriella Ortiz's Kauyumari is a new-to-me piece and Kendall Sq Orch did a great job with it. I haven't been to any BU opera institute shows in recent years so it's always a delight to hear and see the student singers. And Macbeth overall is pretty good! Supporting singers >> lead soloists

Saul was pretty enjoyable ! 3 hours went by pretty fast. Love Sasha Cooke singing Songs of a Wayfarer with the Boston symphony chamber players. That was a real highlight. Missa solemnis was fine given such a great cast of soloist

I'm just happy I live in greater Boston area; currently on a (very full) city bus and I see tons of people walking on the streets at 9:20pm.

Had a text convo with a friend about a neighborhood bakery near me. Friend complains there's no parking *at* the bakery when there are literally lots of street parking within 2 blocks. Just never occurred to them that they can walk > 1 block ...

It's the closest to my house and o can only stomach going there once every 3 months to stock up.

And if they don't have the item I want in stock then I'm SOL for another 3 months 😭

Hope your plants survived? We covered a couple but seems like the temps didn't go as low as predicted. I would love to see more of these blooms for another week or more

Off SM for 5 hours to spend time with old friends and their family: shared a delicious lunch, laughed a lot, and saw some fall foliage

Highly recommend 🍂🎃💦🛞

Also, do not recommend coming home to doomscroll
Beautiful fall day in New England with blue skies, trees with orange foliage, a wooden wagon filled with pumpkins and wooden signs that say "MUMS" and "LOCAL HONEY" A stone building with a large red waterwheel on its outside wall, and a waterfall in the back of the building. You can see fall foliage and blue skies in the background

Exactly how I feel about Nelsons's conducting most of the time

The large one is commercial, the mini ones are the ones she made. Regardless she's an amazing cook and can make all sorts of things from scratch that I would never consider doing so myself!
